Portable Network Graphic

PNG stands for portable network graphics. It is the raster graphics format associated with the .png filename extension. Unlike GIF format, the limitation of 256 colors does not hold with the PNG format. In fact this among other reasons was the motivation behind development of the PNG format to improve upon the GIF format. The PNG format however uses a single image format and thus does not support animations. Because the format was engineered to ease the distribution of graphic files across computer networks it is also not well suited for professional graphics.
WBMP

Wireless Bitmap Image File

.wbmp refers to the wireless application protocol bitmap monochrome graphics file format. The format was initially developed by the WAP forum which later become part of the open mobile alliance. WBMP files are optimized for mobile devices prior to the advent of smartphones and is categorized as a raster image file format. Mobile network services such as SMS and MMS on GSM carriers typically have compatible support for this format, allowing users to send graphics saved in this format.

How to convert PNG to WBMP

STEP 1

Select the image file in the PNG format to convert to the WBMP format, you can select a file from your computer or your Google Drive or Dropbox account.                            

STEP 2

Choose the WBMP format from the drop-down list as the output format, and click the Convert button, you can convert up to 5 files at the same time and a maximum size of up to 500 MB.
