Comma Separated Values File

The comma-separated values file format or CSV for short is a common cross platform file format used for information exchange between disparate devices, systems, and software. Mainstream usage of the format begun in 2005, with RFC 4180 forming the basis of its specification. The format's strongest feature is the ability to store relational tabular data in a plain text format which can be imported and/or exported to any compatible application. Because of this feature and the relatively small file size, CSV is commonly used for exporting and importing data from populated databases or spreadsheet files that use a proprietary format, to other systems and applications that utilize different file formats and architectures. The csv format is limited though in its inability to represent records only from a relational data source. It does not support object oriented or hierarchical databases.
DIF

Data Interchange Format

A .dif extension file is a Data Interchange Format file that is in a text format. The DIF file is used for importing or exporting a standard format file into other compatible formats. This format has been developed by Microsoft and has the ability to enable importing/exporting a single spreadsheet between programs that can open spreadsheets.

How to convert CSV to DIF

STEP 1

Select the document file in the CSV format to convert to the DIF format, you can select a file from your computer or your Google Drive or Dropbox account.                            

STEP 2

Choose the DIF format from the drop-down list as the output format, and click the Convert button, you can convert up to 5 files at the same time and a maximum size of up to 500 MB.

STEP 3

Wait until your file is uploaded and converted into the DIF document format, you can download the converted file up to a maximum of 5 times, and can also delete the file from the Download page.
