DDS The .dds extension file is a DirectDraw Surface format file developed by Microsoft and is used by the multimedia application Microsoft DirectX to store graphics and data in the compressed and uncompressed form.
RAS A .ras extension file is a binary raster image format file that was developed using the UNIX platform by Sun Microsystems. It uses the bitmap format that is simple to use and has the ability to store data in grayscale, black and white as well as colored pixels. The basic layout of a .ras file begins with a header, is followed by a color map and finally by the image data that is bitmapped.

How to convert DDS to RAS

STEP 1

Select the image file in the DDS format to convert to the RAS format, you can select a file from your computer or your Google Drive or Dropbox account.                            

STEP 2

Choose the RAS format from the drop-down list as the output format, and click the Convert button, you can convert up to 5 files at the same time and a maximum size of up to 500 MB.

STEP 3

Wait until your file is uploaded and converted into the RAS image format, you can download the converted file up to a maximum of 5 times, and can also delete the file from the Download page.
